Bishop Ray Browne

Fifth year students had the fantastic experience of meeting with Bishop Ray Browne today. Bishop Ray visited Presentation Secondary School, Listowel as part of the SYNOD listening sessions. Pope Francis has invited us all to contribute to the renewal of the church and to begin the process of synodality, which means moving into the future by listening to all members of the church especially those who have been marginalised. Pope Francis has said it is especially important to listen to the voice of young people and so Bishop Ray joined us today to hear our students’ view and their experience of Church.

Basketball Ball South West Leagues

Well done to our First & Second year basketball teams who continued their winning ways today against Killorglin CC in the South West leagues. Played at Listowel Community Centre, the first years were first up and showed great teamwork throughout, in a comprehensive win. Our second year team followed this display with a similar performance of their own. They controlled the game from start to finish and won out in the end on a comfortable score line. both teams will play Causeway Comprehensive next Monday in their next league fixture

Junior Football Team

On Wednesday our Junior Football Team took part in the first round of the inaugural Kerry Schools Competition against Pres Tralee in Kerins O Rahillys. We started the game well with some quick scores and held the lead into half time. After the break Pres Tralee came out strong and narrowed the gap but our girls fought back, finishing strongly with an impressive score of Pres Listowel 5 – 9 to Pres Tralee 2 -9. Well done to all our players on an excellent game of football. Our next game will be the quarter final of the Cup Competition.
