Today we as a school marked the signing of the Anglo-Irish Treaty, 100 years on from it’s official signing on December 6th 1921. To mark such a momentous occasion in Irish History and the founding of the Irish Free State Emma Heaphy (2B) and Maggie Mahony (2B) raised the Irish Flag outside the school. We also had a lovely announcement made to the entire school by Kaelynn Murphy (3B) as well as the singing of Amhrán na bhFiann by Grace Whelan (3A) and Sophie Stack (2B) accompanied by Caireann Uljee (2B) on guitar. Well done to all students who participated.
