All Ireland Basketball Final

All Ireland Basketball Final

Commiserations to our second year basketball team in yesterday’s All Ireland final against Coachford College. An agonizing 36-33 loss in a titanic battle in the National Basketball Arena in Tallaght. An incredible achievement by this group of girls to finish runners up in Ireland on what was a very successful year. Everyone in our school community is very proud of you and we have no doubt they’ll be back stronger next year.

Daffodil Day

Daffodil Day

Wellbeing Week in Pres. Listowel shines a light on Daffodil Day
The students and staff of Presentation Secondary, Listowel recently raised much needed funds for Daffodil Day 2022. The amount generously raised was an amazing €500 which will go towards supporting cancer patients and their families. It has been great to shine a light on Daffodil day which promoted collegiality and community spirit among the whole school community. The activities planned included a staff lunch where staff prepared the food served and students sold Daffodil day pins and badges etc. Well done and many thanks to all involved and to all who supported this great cause.
Bishop Ray Browne

Bishop Ray Browne

Fifth year students had the fantastic experience of meeting with Bishop Ray Browne today. Bishop Ray visited Presentation Secondary School, Listowel as part of the SYNOD listening sessions. Pope Francis has invited us all to contribute to the renewal of the church and to begin the process of synodality, which means moving into the future by listening to all members of the church especially those who have been marginalised. Pope Francis has said it is especially important to listen to the voice of young people and so Bishop Ray joined us today to hear our students’ view and their experience of Church.
