U14 Football

Well done our U14 football team on a great win today! We had our first game of the league today vs Gaelcholaiste Chiarrai at 10am in Caherslee, Tralee. Both teams traded scores in the first half but a number of goals for us put us ahead at half time. Gaelcholaiste came out strong in the second half and closed our lead to just a point but our girls kept their heads up and scored a number of crucial scores to ensure we won the game. Well done to everyone involved on a great game in tough conditions. The next U14 game will be played before the Christmas break.

Our U16s and U19s basketball team had their second round games today vs Colaiste Ide agus Iosef, Abbeyfeale. The U16 game was close throughout, with both teams taking turnings in the lead. However our girls pulled away in the last quarter to secure their second win in the league. U19s were up next, we started strong and fought hard but unfortunately Abbeyfeale went onto win the game. Well done to everyone involved today! Our final game in the league will be after the midterm break.

Our U16 football team had their first game of the group against St. Joseph’s, Ballybunion today. Our girls got on the score board straight away with an early goal putting us in the lead from the start, going into half time 1-5 to 0-1 up. However Ballybunion came back fighting, scoring 0-9 in the second half and closing it to a 4 point gap. It was a physical game but our girls held their own and worked hard including strong contributions from our subs who added some fantastic scores including another goal to finish the game 2-10 to 0-10. Well done to everyone involved today. Our next game will be in early October vs Castleisland Community College.
