U16 Fooball Team

U16 Fooball Team

Our U16 football team had their first game of the group against St. Joseph’s, Ballybunion today. Our girls got on the score board straight away with an early goal putting us in the lead from the start, going into half time 1-5 to 0-1 up. However Ballybunion came back fighting, scoring 0-9 in the second half and closing it to a 4 point gap. It was a physical game but our girls held their own and worked hard including strong contributions from our subs who added some fantastic scores including another goal to finish the game 2-10 to 0-10. Well done to everyone involved today. Our next game will be in early October vs Castleisland Community College.

Dr Patrick Cosgrove from Mary Immaculate College Limerick was in school today to give an overview of the courses available at the college. A very valuable insight for our 6th Year students.

Day one of the North Munster track and field took place today in an riocht track, Castleisland. 17 students participated today in all age grades on both the track and in field events. We returned with 4 medals today. Saoirse Dillon won gold in intermediate 100m, Cara Leahy won gold in U16 mile while Caoimhe Lynch and Grace Harte won bronze in junior and intermediate javelin respectively.
